Generative
art refers to any art practice where the artist creates a process,
such as a set of natural language rules, a computer program, a
machine, or other procedural invention, which is then set into
motion with some degree of autonomy contributing to or resulting
in a completed work of art.
In
the
contemporary world a dissolution of the borders between Science
is observed, Art and Technology, as well as between the
several fields of the knowledge, between the different
artistic languages and the productions from different cultural
groups - learned Art, traditional Arts, Arts of mass culture.
Nevertheless,
the present artistic education does not consider this new configuration
and, consequently, it does not respond to the necessities of the
contemporary world suitably.
For
that reason, another challenge for the education of the
arts will be to promote the interdisciplinaridad between
the different artistic languages,
sciences and the new technologies
